9th Months Old

At 9 months old, Miley…
- weights 8.3kg and 72cm tall
- has 6 teeth (2 upper and 4 lower)
- has a new white wooden cot with pink linens
- is climbing and standing with assistance
- joined Gymboree’s play and learn
- went for her first dip in the pool
- dislike unfamiliar faces
- likes to play peek-a-boo

Stand Up!

Miley loves to stand and pretend to walk before she can even crawl. She probably wants to do what we adults do. She’s also starting to sit up by herself in the playpen and would attempt to stand up by holding on to the sides. Afraid that she may fall out and injure herself, we lowed the playpen so that she could stand in it. See how naughty she is now…

Visit to the Pediatrician

Went to the pediatrician early morning today with the intention to get her vaccinated. Ended up just doing a regular checkup cos she was having on and off fever yesterday with highest temperature at 38 degrees, hence not suitable for any vaccination. She has to recover for at least two weeks before she can get her injections.

Dr Tan says children are most prone to illness during 7 to 9 months old (Miley is 1 week to 7 months) as their immunity passed down from mummy would have been used up by the 6th month. Teething could be the cause of fever too. We’ll just have to be extra careful by keeping her away from anyone who is sick and monitor the seriousness ourselves by watching out for 4 things: Appetite, Sleep, Energy and Mood.

Miley’s still a happy little girl today. She’s very fine. ;)

Teething

Recently she has been moving her mouth as if she’s chewing something. Worried that she might have put something dangerous into her mouth, my mum inserted her finger in and felt something rough and hard at her lower gums… Miley has teeth!

Update at 6th months

Miley
… now weights about 6.7kg and 62cm tall.
… didn’t poop for 6 days and got grandma worried and finally did last night.
… rashes on her face is getting better. Moisturise, Moisturise, Moisturise!
… is starting to wear her 6 to 9 months clothings.
… only wants mummy and 奶奶 to carry her to sleep at night. Not daddy.
… was dressed in a bunny suit on Easter day.
… is starting on rice cereal.
… likes the song BINGO
… laugh out loud at the beeping sound of the cashier scan.
… recently upgraded her status to 表姐 with the arrival of baby Noelle.
… is going for her first overseas trip in less then 2 weeks!
… is everyday smiley.

4 months old

Celebrating Miley’s 4 months old with pretty photos! Responding with smiles & chuckles & sticking out her tongue cheekily, Miley is definitely a girl who enjoys her growing-up! She discovers and embraces her new-found vision, new-found hands & feet, new-found ability to sit when propped up! And as every friend notices - Pretty girl getting prettier everyday! :) Love love!

Miley Soo

Squirm & Wiggle!

Exactly what Miley did to move it move it.. towards Mummy. :) Shouts of frustrations and tears of exasperation from being static was shed during this process of learning to crawl.

Miley Soo managed to flip herself and wiggle a quarter circle clockwise on 22 Feb. Improvement indeed. :)

Tummy Time

Today Miley gave me a pleasant surprise early morning. It was tummy time again where she usually sprawls on the bed squirming and screaming in frustration.

Amazingly as I flip her over, she used her elbows to support herself & Viola! she lifted her head n stayed there! I think she was as surprised as me coz she even managed to turn her head n look around. For the 1st time, she was smiling away during tummy time. :)

Getting responsive

Smiley Miley is starting to get more responsive. She would react to the faces and sounds we make, and would kick excitedly when she sees her toys.

We love the way you smile. You do it for no special reason, sometimes after a sneeze.

Today is the Day!

Today is the day!!! Yes it is! But she’s still partying inside! In another 24 hours we will admit to Mt. Alvernia to induce labour. Ready to welcome baby Soo to the world!

Two days to due date

2 days to due date and still no sign of contraction… happily having Dim sum lunch at Wah Lok now after her last check up before birth. Baby seems determine to max out her stay in mummy’s tummy hotel and the prenatal package. BYLF! Come 31 Oct if she’s still not out, we gotta evacuate her on 1 Nov. Thats the most we can offer her… a late checkout. ;)

Finally managed to get a face shot on the 39th week, although not a very clear one cos she was having hicupps. Anyway we will see her very soon within these 2 weeks.
