It was almost 2am when Dad JS was awoken on a mission to kill a fly.
The fly had somehow penetrated insect preventive measures such as netted windows. Room was also cleaned everyday. Mum RS distinctly heard the buzzing in the lighted lampshade and the zappy shadow of the fly affirmed her horror that a fly had indeed made its way into the room. It happened that the afternoon article she read did not help to reassure her - it was titled ‘All things are out to kill my baby’. *kua kua
She believed the fly is there for a purpose - to look for a warm and conducive environment to lay eggs!!! Horrors. Ears seem like a good option for to nest fly’s eggs! Dad JS can only succeed, not fail.
After some squinting and lousy ideas, JS found a clear ASOS plastic bag from RS’ online buys. He decided the best way is to trap the fly and kill it, rather than swatting air. Thumbs up!!!
It was absolutely you-have-no-idea gratifying to squish the darn fly, marking JS’ first successful attempt in his entire life!
