First Birthday Party

Celebrated Miley’s first birthday party last Saturday, the weekend before her actual birthday. Do you know she has the same birthday as Hello Kitty which falls on 1st Nov? Maybe that’s why her natural liking for the mouthless cat or does most girls? And so did we happen to get her an agar agar cake with a Hello Kitty face on a big number 1!

We decided to keep the party small after experiencing her first month’s celebration where we had over 100 guest at our house, which was tiring. We didn’t even had time for any photo!. This time a hired a photographer friend Matthew and held the party at Gymboree over at Tanglin Mall where Miley’s goes for her weekly crawl about. It was an intimate gathering where we only invited 10 kids and their parents. An hour of play class followed by 30 minutes of food reception prepared by my mum. Reception was a little short but I guess the focus of the day is the children! Most importantly it was a memorable one. :)

Invite list: Xavier, Cheris, Phoebe, Brantley, Jamie, Scarlett, Seth and Noelle. Caleb and Kataerial couldn’t make it last minute.

A visit to the clinic

That’s a photo of Miley at the clinic this morning. The doctor was holding a toy tiger with an opened mouth and asking Miley to do the same so that he could inspect her oral. Thought it looks cute with her stand so straight. :)

She had been suffering from cough and flu lately. Probably due to the haze and smoke in the air during this period of the year plus dust from the road construction outside our house. Doctor prescribed her two bottles of syrup and a nasal spray.

She’s now asleep from the drowsiness caused by the medication. Hope she gets better soon! ♡

Popularity Chart

If there is a ‘Miley’s Popularity Chart’, this would be the ranking:
1) Mummy
2) 爷爷
3) 奶奶
4) Daddy

Mummy will always be No. 1 cos she’s the most entertaining amongst all. She sings, dances and make exaggerating funny faces. All kids would love her, needless to say, her own daughter.

爷爷 and 奶奶 spends the most time with her everyday. 奶奶 bath her, feed her, bring her shopping, sing her to sleep. I guess 爷爷 does much lesser but because he doesn’t scold her, he’s a little more well liked.

Daddy comes home on time pretty much everyday and would look after her when Mummy is busy at work or entertaining, and when 爷爷 奶奶 goes to the casino. Daddy would look after all the logistics whenever we go out on weekends. She doesn’t see any of those. To her Daddy is her last resort only when Mummy or 奶奶 scold or ignore her. Daddy is boring.

If 姐姐 (our helper) is included in the run, she’ll probably take the forth place and kick Daddy to the last. “Jie Jie” is the first name she called and comes to the rescue when Daddy fails to entertain her.

Daddy is not bitter.
